Money talks while Illinoisans walk

The Illinois House voted to ban red light cameras, but only in towns with less than 25,000 residents.

Excerpted from

"The legislation would make the cameras illegal in municipalities that are not home rule — generally towns with a population of less than 25,000 — starting in 2017.

Cities that have home rule powers, such as Chicago and dozens of suburbs like Des Plaines, Skokie, Oak Lawn and Rosemont, would not be affected. Sponsoring Rep. David McSweeney indicated that the ban would apply to suburbs such as Blue Island, Forest Park, Hickory Hills, Westchester, Villa Park, Libertyville and Fox River Grove."
How much do you wanna bet that that Illinois House members live in Blue Island, Forest Park, Hickory Hills, Westchester, Villa Park, Libertyville, and Fox River Grove?
In addition, I have personally noticed yellow light times varying in Chicago, (always shorter), than usual.  Although admittedly not lately.  When I have noticed diminished yellow times, its been late at night, and I don't drive through Chicago late night any more.

Travel and Adventure: Highlights from the Thorium Energy Alliance Conference 8 - TEAC 8 - August 21st and 22nd in St. Louis, MO with Eclipse Totality in Shrewsbury

The Mall outside of the St.Louis Hilton was closed for renovation.  It will reopen next year, and will be fully completed in 2019.  Even in its current condition, it's an impressive design.

The Thorium Energy Alliance is one of the most important knowledge and action groups to humanity that a person can be involved with.   For the purpose of this posting however, I'm only going to show the fun highlights outside of the event.  Details on the actual event can be found at  I can't stress enough how important it is to learn this, but I understand that it's up to you to do so.  Generation Atomic:  and Mothers for Nuclear:  are part of this knowledge and action group as well.
General John Adams (Rare Earth Policy), John Croat (Inventor of the Neodymium, Iron, Boron Permanent Magnet), Ned Maula (USGS, Critical Metals Policy), John Kutsch (The Man), Victoria Bruce (Author), Jim Kennedy (The Myth), Jim's wife Nina, and Mr. Brown (Lobbyist)

The future's so bright we gotta wear shades!

Eclipse in totality in Shrewsbury, MO  Notice that the moon is there in front of the Sun, but the camera interpreted it as tiny.  My eyes saw a big, graphite colored, soap bubble in the sky.

One moment after totality, with my protective glasses over the lens.

The Thorium Energy Alliance Group in the Union Station, St. Louis Hilton Lounge.  These are good people and this is one of my favorite places to travel to.
Me, Jim Kennedy and John Kutsch, men whom I'm proud to have a drink with.

Breakfast at the Shack the next morning.  Sooooo Good!

We also visited the Cahokia Mounds; the ruins of a city of 30,000 people, who were part of the Mississippian civilization, that stretched from Florida to Minnesota, and were likely the decedents of the Maya peoples.

The Cahokia Mounds are also likely the ruins of the last astral-architectural, pyramid civilization, that thrived on Earth.
